1994- Purchased 6 parcels on Eggert Road near Bailey
1994- Decided to sell both buildings (stations-1 and 2)
1990- Adopted a length of service award program “LOSAP” providing firefighters with pension benefits based on years of active duty.

Purchase of 1974 American Lafrance 85 ' Snorkel 1st Ladder truck for the Department

Name changed from Fire District No. 1 of The Town of Amherst to the Eggertsville Fire District

Fire hall erected on said property bordering Amsterdam and Carmen with 2 truck bays

NOTE- At this time ISO required a high pumping capacity and aerial ladder in high value area
Decided to build a sub station on property acquired from Forest City Enterprises (Boulevard Mall)

The Fire District took over all expenses of the building that included the utilities and insurance.
August 1965
1,101 votes cast in turning down motion to build new fire hall.
June 3, 1965
Sold property bordered by Longmeadow between Marion and Lenore for the sum of $80,550.
May 11, 1964
Special referendum for the purchase of 3826 Main Street DEFEATED- by a margin of 292 against, to 102 in favor.
June 13, 1963
1962- Sold Brockway Fire Engine to the Ellicott Creek Fire Company for the Sum of $360.00.
1961- The North Bailey Fire Company again requested the area North of Sheridan Drive. They were refused.
1961- Purchased more home receivers
1961- Purchased 1 Ward Lafrance 1000-gallon per/minute Pumper for a cost of $24,495.00.
1961- Established an Alarm Desk with 4 dispatchers and 1 relief
After this period all apparatus was purchased by the Fire District.
1959- Purchased all fire apparatus including the following- 3 engines, and 1 first aid rig from the Eggertsville Hose Company for the sum of $36000. 00
1956- 3 Home receivers acquired.
1950's- purchased property on the West End of the District from the county for $3,400.
Post World War II saw a growth of population

April 16, 1940
From 1938-1942, The Fire District increased the number of fire alarm boxes and phantom wheels. This era also saw the addition of sirens and more fire hydrants.
1940- The District sent Commissioners to the State Capitol in Albany to secure better benefits under Sec. 205 of the Workman's Compensation Laws.
They were explained the law by Fire District Attorney R. Londsdowne. Hands down, 2 politely refused

A delegation from the North Bailey Meadows area appeared before the Fire Commissioners to request the permission to form a fire company.
April 9, 1940
1937- Sold old siren to the Lakeshore Fire Company.
1936- Lost jurisdiction for Grover Cleveland Park to the City of Buffalo for a loss of an assessed vale of $390,000.
Also as of 1934 the Fire Commissioners spearheaded the Annual Installation Party
In 1934, the Fire District went on a bond for the mortgage; $1,800 per year was allotted to the Eggertsville Hose Company for rent for the apparatus. Among other things purchased were inhalators and hose.
C. Trapp- Chairman, J. Belinson Secretary and F. Weigel reported the alarm system is to be tested on Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm. The Motion -for F. Weigel to receive $100.00 per year, and Secretary to receive $100.00 per year was carried

Note Frank Weigel served as Commissioner and Chief from 1934-1940 (State law now prohibits persons to hold both offices)

Gamewell Alarm System purchased Total cost- ($1,7580.00) including 21 boxes to be installed in new firehouse
October 9, 1931
Voted to purchase a searchlight, a new Lovel Dressel Nozzle and 6 new fire helmets.
September 18, 1931
Purchased new storage batteries for the alarm system.
October 9, 1930
Voted to include more property into the Fire District.
July 26, 1926
Purchased more hose.
May 14, 1925
Approved $300.00 for extending the alarm system to additional areas of the Fire District.
October 3, 1922
Paid the Eureka Hose Company for hose and 2 hose reels $575. 00.
November 25, 1913
It was moved and seconded to have this amount raised by taxation.
At a meeting of the taxpayers of the Eggertsville Fire District No.1, it was moved and seconded to expend the sum of $1,085, due for the purchase of 2 hose reels, 400' of hose, 4 chemical extinguishers and 2 alarm systems. The vote was carried.
September 9, 1913
Commissioners elected were Mr. Seitz, Mr. Kissinger, and Mr. Phillip Braun Mr. Truman Gilbert was elected Treasurer

The Commissioners accepted the contract by the Depew and Lake Erie Water Co. for furnishing five fire hydrants at the cost of $65. 00 per hydrant, per year. It was moved that they borrow $50.00 on the promissory note of the Commissioners for the purchase of play pipes, 6 axes and 6 lanterns

We, The undersigned Fire Commissioners of the Eggertsville Fire District No.1 of the Town of Amherst appoint the following able, and respected inhabitants of said Fire District as firemen, to be organized into one Hose Company as said District we list.-

At the meeting of April 14, 1908: That the amount of $600 be raised by taxation- The position of Provisional Fire Chief was given to John Chassin and Assistant Fire Chief Tom Kuppinger.

The Chairman declared the meeting adjourned until April 14, 1908 at 8pm After the meeting the commissioners organized as follows:

Mr. Berkes received the greatest number of votes and was declared duly elected Treasurer of the Eggertsville Fire District.

The Chairman declared that the next order is balloting for Treasurer. Results were as follows.
E.P. Ouchie, J.P. Seitz and C. Leedan were declared duly elected as the first Fire Commissioners of the Eggertsville Fire District No.1 for a term of 5 years.

Balloting for Commissioner of the Eggertsville Fire District resulted as follows.
Moved by Mr. H. Gram seconded by Mr. T Kuppinger, all voting aye, to elect three Fire Commissioners
Mr. Leedham moved that Mr. Lippke be elected Inspector of the meeting. Mr. W. Lutz on behalf of the minority seconded the motion. Mr. Lippke being the unanimous choice Mr. Boetger declared him duly elected as Inspector.
Mr. A. Fahnley moved that J. Seitz be elected Secretary of the meeting. Mr. E. Wingert on behalf of the minority seconded the motion. Mr. Seitz being the unanimous choice, Mr. Boetger declared him duly elected as Secretary of the meeting.
Mr. C. Leedham on the behalf of the minority seconded the motion. Mr. Boetger being the unanimous choice, Mr. Outchie declared him duly elected Chairman of the meeting.
The meeting was called to order by E. Ouchie and Mr. G. Lippke moved that Mr. R. E Boetger be elected Chairman of the meeting.
Notice was given to announce that the first election to fill the office of Fire Commissioner and Treasurer by the legal voters of the Eggertsville Fire District would be held at the school house of District #13 (note- The school house was located where the Sacred Heart Academy is today) on the 31st of March 1908 beginning at 7: 30p.m., signed the 11th day of March 1908, from Lee W. Briting (Town Clerk) Eggertsville, NY March 31, 1908
Fire District No. 1 of the Town of Amherst was established on March 10, 1908 by the Erie County Board of Supervisors.
In early February 1908 a petition to establish a fire district was presented to the Erie County Board of Supervisors by Eugene Ouchie, a prominent Eggertsville resident and entrepreneur and Supervisor of the Town of Amherst.
Name changed from Fire District No. 1 of the Town of Amherst to Eggertsville Fire District on February 17, 1972
