Eggertsville firefighters responded this evening for a report of a fire within a structure on Delta Road. Eggertsville 9-1 went on location reporting smoke showing and declared a working fire. Interior crews reported heavy fire conditions in the attic area. The fire was knocked down and damage was estimated at about $160,000 ($100,000, structure. $60,000, contents). The cause of the fire is believed to be a menorah that was tipped over. Mutual aid was requested from Snyder (FAST and stand by) and North Bailey .
